Through countless hours of engineering with trial and error development, Pat created the XL350 Honda engine. This engine has taken many wins in the flat track racing circuit. Pat Orman was known for helping racers and sharing his knowledge. I owe a debt of gratitude to Pat Orman for the knowledge he shared with me, about the Honda XL 350 motorcycle engine. I am honored to have known Pat and am honored to call him my "FRIEND."

PERFORMANCE ENHANCER of HONDA XL 350 ENGINE

As a kid growing up in the 60's, I begged Mom and Dad for a motorcycle. In 1965, my wish was granted with a Honda 90. Without anyone to guide me, my curiosity was my learning tool. I have built motorcycle engines, repaired motorcycle parts and have learned from the best. I worked at Honda of Brandon and Honda of Tampa as both a service technician and service manager from 1970-1979. This was during the time the Honda XL350 motorcycles were developed.

After trying several types of competition, drag, scrambles, road racing and flat track, I knew flat track was my love! So here we are 40 years later, the love of Honda XL350 motorcycles still lives !!! I am a member of the Southern Dirt Track Association and the AMA. Yes, I still race a Honda XL350 motorcyle and still win occasionally. I am known as Hondajohn 50.
